Midlothian officers shoot armed man Posted in Midlothian on March 11, 2017 by Publisher Photo courtesy Midlothian P MIDLOTHIAN — Midlothian officers shot an armed man during a domestic disturbance call shortly after 3:30 p.m. today.According to a statement issued by the Midlothian Police Department:"Shortly after 3:30 p.m. this afternoon, Midlothian Police Officers responded to a reported domestic disturbance in the 5200 block of Charisma Dr.According to witnesses, arriving officers were confronted by an armed man when they arrived. Despite the officers’ demands to drop the gun, the man instead turned toward an officer and presented a deadly threat.The man was subsequently shot by one of the officers. Midlothian EMS were on scene at the time of the shooting and immediately began to render aid to the man, who was transported from the scene and taken to a nearby hospital. His status is unknown.This investigation is in the early stages and we have requested the assistance of the Texas Rangers. At this time, we are not releasing the names of the people involved, including the officers.Our thoughts and prayers go out to those effected as well as their families. More information will be released as the investigation progresses."
