Red Oak cancels Christmas event and parade Posted in Red Oak on December 02, 2016 by Staff Report Red Oak has cancelled the December 3, 2016 Christmas event and parade because of potential inclement weather.RED OAK — The annual Christmas in Red Oak event and parade scheduled for Saturday, December 3, 2016, has been cancelled due to predicted inclement weather.According to a press release issued by the city, "there appears to be a consensus among local news outlets and the National Weather Service that there will be extensive rain and cold temperatures on Saturday. The City of Red Oak looks forward to hosting this event each year and apologizes that the event must be cancelled."
