ENNIS — Ennis residents are excited to see the Ennis Farmer's Market open for its second season in the Historic Downtown at 100 N. Dallas St.The Ennis Farmer's Market first opened in April 2014 and is set to open again on April 4 for the 2015 season. The market is open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. through October 31.The Ennis Farmer's Market offers farm fresh produe and food products. According to the City of Ennis website, "there are 500 patrons that shop the market and 25 vendors providing a wide selection of fruits, vegetables, honey, meat, nuts, cottage and prepared food and crafts.In addition to the fresh eats, special events are held throughout the season, including cooking demonstrations and live entertainment is provided once per month on the McDowal Park Stage.The season kicks off on April 4 with live music from Acoustic Sound Hounds from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.On April 11 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., the market will have the 2nd Saturday Sunset Market featuring The Pontiax on stage.For more information about the Ennis Farmer's Market, visit the City of Ennis website.
