Ennis to celebrate Indendepence Day with events all day

ENNIS — Ennis Freedom Fest will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 4 and will conclude with a firework show at dark.

Starting at 8 a.m., the Farmers Market will be open downtown until 1 p.m. along with the Red, White & BBQ Cook-off. If you are interested in registering for the cook-off, contact Sandy at 214-906-9176.

The second annual Red, White & Bike Parade begins at 10 a.m. downtown. Judging will begin at 8:30 p.m. and an awards presentation and parade lineup begins at 9 a.m. For more information or to register for the parade, click here.

The fun moves to the Texas Motorplex later in the evening with The Pontiax providing live music from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Fireworks will begin at the Texas Motorplex after dark. Gates open at 6 p.m. and admission is free. Concessions will be available for food and drinks purchase.
