Minter was transported to Ennis Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.Justice of the Peace Pct. 2 Jackie Miller Jr. ordered the body taken to the Dallas County medical examiner’s office, with preliminary autopsy results indicating that Minter died as a result of a single gunshot.No charges have been filed at this time as a claim of self-defense is being investigated. A weapon was recovered during execution of a search warrant.Additional information is not available pending the conclusion of the investigation.
