WAXAHACHIE — Representative John Wray (R-Waxahachie) opened his district office this summer to local students seeking to gain experience in Texas government and public service. These internships provide valuable work experience while allowing career path exploration, and have become increasingly popular over the last decade within the public and private sector.

Three exceptional students recently concluded their internships in the House District 10 District Office: Rene Avila, a 2015 graduate and salutatorian of Ennis High School is a member of AVID IV, Spanish Club President, UIL Debate Team, National Honor Society and many other activities. Rene is attending UT Dallas in the fall. Taylor Frontera, a senior at Ferris High School has been Class President since 2012, and is a member of National Honor Society, Student Council, Debate, Yearbook Editor-in-Chief, and many other organizations. Belle Prachyl, a junior at Waxahachie High School is active in student council, Interact, Debate and Music Theater.

"It is a pleasure to offer internship opportunities to motivated students from around the district,” Representative Wray stated. "Rene, Taylor, and Belle did a wonderful job serving the constituents of District 10 and I look forward to seeing the great things they will accomplish in the future."

Rep. Wray's Capitol office has hosted many interns, providing invaluable experience for students during the legislative session, and is excited to offer the same opportunities to students here at home in Ellis and Henderson Counties.
