"I am honored that Speaker Straus has trusted me with the responsibility to serve on these important committees and am ready to start working for the people of Texas and House District 10."Wray took his oath of office and was sworn in on Jan. 13. Wray replaces Jim Pitts, whom in 2013 announced his retirement and stated he would not seek reelection. Wray defeated a number of opponents during the 2014 Republican primary election and did not face a challenger in the general election.
