Ferris Fire Chief Tim Birdwell.FERRIS — The Ferris Fire Department and CareFlite will be holding Hands Only CPR training Saturday, March 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Scout House in Mutz Park located at 598 S Mable St. in Ferris."The more people we have in the community who knows even a little bit of Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation increases the likelihood that that victim will live to see another tomorrow," City of Ferris Fire Chief Tim Birdwell said in a written statement.The American Heart Association Hands Only CPR course will be a free event open to the public. No registration is required."Hands Only is CPR without mouth to mouth breaths. It is recommended for use by people who see a teenager or adult suddenly collapse in an 'out of hospital' setting (such as at home, at work or in the park)," Birdwell wrote."We hope to run a hundred people through this program."
