WAXAHACHIE — The Graduate Caston Scholarship Committee proudly announced the recipients of the Graduate Caston Scholarship for an outstanding Fall 2014 semester. This scholarship was awarded to Navarro College graduates who presented definite plans for continuing his/her study at a four-year college or university.Recipients of Graduate Caston Scholarships for Fall 2014 include:Peter Arnold First semester at UNT-Dallas accounting major. Earned 4.0 GPA for 15 hours.Nina Arreola First semester at Texas A&M-Commerce Eucation major. Earned a 4.0 for 15 hours.Colton Besett Third semester Physical Therapy major at University of Incarnate Word. Earned 4.0 GPA for 12 hours. Member of varsity baseball team at UIW.James Burger Third semester Wildlife Management major at Tarleton State University. Earned 4.0 GPA.Brianna Espinoza First semester business/finance major at UT-Tyler. Earned 3.6 GPA.Sarah Griffin First semester horticulture major at Texas A&M College Station. Earned 3.16 GPA for 16 hours.Cyndi Irvine Deferred her Caston award while she completes pre-requisites for BSN program at UTA. Her first award will be fall 2015.Paul Jones First semester Criminal Justice major at Sam Houston State University. Earned a 4.0 GPA.Kathryn Keels First semester nursing major. Earned 3.8 GPA at Navarro while completing prerequisites for BSN program at UT Arlington, which she will begin in spring 2015.Jake McClure Third semester engineering major at Texas Tech. Eaned 3.5 GPA.Gregory Pope First semester engineering major at Baylor. Earned 4.0 GPA.Monica Ramirez First semester Education major at Texas A&M-Commerce Earned 4.0 GPA.Megan Nelson Reagan Third semester Social Work major at Baylor. Earned 3.6 GPA.Marivel Sanchez Third semester Bilingual Health Care studies major at Sam Houston. Earned 4.0 GPA.Darion Walton Third semester Business major at Sam Houston. Because of early graduation from Navarro and Sam Houston, he began an MBA program and earned 3.3 GPA.Varion Walton Third semester.
