UIL releases 2016-2018 realignments Posted in Basketball, Football on February 01, 2016 by Staff Report ELLIS COUNTY — The University Interscholastic League (UIL) released new reclassifications and realignments for schools across Texas today.The realignments are valid for the 2016-2018 football season and 2016-2017 basketball season.Class 5A Basketball and FootballMidlothian, Red Oak and Waxahachie will join Lancaster, Mansfield Lake Ridge, Mansfield Legacy, Mansfield Summit and Mansfield Timberview in District Region 2, District 10.Ennis will compete in Region 3, District 17 with Corsicana, Jacksonville, Lindale, Nacogdoches and Whitehouse.Class 4A Division I FootballMidlothian Heritage football joins Alvarado, Carrollton Ranchview, Dallas Carter, Dallas Hutchins and Dallas Pinkston in Region 2, District 6.Class 4A Division II FootballVenus and Waxahachie Life football will play Fort Worth Benbrook, Glen Roase, Godley and Hillsboro in Region 1, District 4.Ferris football will face off against Canton, Dallas Lincoln, Dallas Roosevelt, Emory Rains and Wills Point in Region 2, District 6.Class 4A BasketballMidlothian Heritage and Waxahachie Life basketball join Alvarado, Glen Rose, Godley, Stephenville and Venus in Region 1, District 8.Ferris basketball will compete in Region 2, District 12 with Caddo Mills, Crandall, Kaufman, Nevada Community, Quinlan Ford and Terrell.
