RED OAK — On Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at approximately 4:22 p.m., a shooting occurred in the 100 block of Summit Street in Red Oak, Texas.

Las Vegas, NV — Midlothian, Texas resident Grant Lynch placed eleventh in the Men's Heavyweight division of the 2017 Amateur Strongman National Championship.

Michael Scott was chosen by the Waxahachie City Council on Monday, October 16, 2017 as the new City Manager. He previously served as Assistant City Manager since 2007.

Michael Scott chosen as new Waxahachie City Manager

WAXAHACHIE — The Waxahachie City Council voted unanimously to name Michael Scott as Waxahachie City Manager during a regular meeting of the Council on Monday, October 16.

Issaai Bustamante, 18, of Red Oak was arrested on October 5 in connected with the robbery of a Whataburger in Red Oak on May 16 and September 7. A juvenile suspect has also been identified by law enforcement.
