Red Oak Firefighters Association endorses Johnny Brown for Sheriff

RED OAK — The Red Oak Firefighters Association has endorsed Johnny Brown for his re-election campaign for Sheriff of Ellis County.

Tristan Jabre's (pictured) mother says Waxahachie ISD failed to notify her that her 10-year-old special needs son was arrested by Waxahachie Police for allegedly assaulting a teacher.

10-year-old special needs student arrested at Waxahachie school

WAXAHACHIE — A Waxahachie mother is upset that she wasn't notified about her 10-year-old special needs son being arrested by Waxahachie Police at Dunaway Elementary in Waxahachie for allegedly assaulting a teacher.

She states she was informed that he was being suspended, but there was no mention of police being called or an arrest made. She claims she was denied seeing her son for 24 hours while he was held in juvenile detention.
