Kidnapping at drive-in theater; Suspect arrested; Victim found safe Posted in Ellis County, Feature on November 19, 2017 by Staff Report ELLIS COUNTY — On Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at approximately 9:22 p.m., Ellis County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a Kidnapping at the Galaxy Drive Inn Theater in Ennis, Texas. The Galaxy Drive Inn Theater is located at 5301 N. Interstate Highway 45 in Ennis, Texas.Sheriff’s Deputies learned an adult female was assaulted and taken against her will by her ex-boyfriend. Witnesses said the suspect forced the female into a vehicle and the suspect fled the location through a rear exit on the property. The suspect was identified as Glenntrik Deon Jamaal Morgan of Dallas. Deputies believed Morgan fled with the victim toward Dallas.On Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at approximately 12:02 a.m., Criminal Investigators learned the victim was dropped off by Morgan at her mother’s residence.Criminal Investigators met with the victim and learned Morgan was believed to be driving a blue BMW sport utility vehicle. Criminal Investigators discovered the aforementioned vehicle parked at the Walker Place Apartments located at 3880 S. Walton Walker Boulevard in Dallas. Criminal Investigators set up surveillance and confirmed Morgan was at the apartment complex in a lower apartment. Criminal Investigators also learned an eleven (11) month old infant was in the apartment with Morgan.Dallas Police was summoned and contact was attempted with Morgan. There was NO response and the scene was treated as a barricaded subject. At approximately 10:46 a.m., Dallas SWAT took Morgan into custody. Morgan was transported from Dallas to the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Kidnapping.
