Prosperity Bank robber suspect arrested Posted in Headline, Red Oak on September 27, 2017 by Staff Report Red Oak Police Department Police have arrested Stevie Elbert Jones, 54, as a suspect in the robbery of Prosperity Bank in Red Oak on Tuesday, September 26, 2017.RED OAK — Police have made an arrest in regard to a robbery at Prosperity Bank on Tuesday, September 26.On Tuesday, September 26, at 2:44 p.m., the Red Oak Police Department released a press release into the robbery of Prosperity Bank located at 500 N. IH-35E that occurred on Tuesday, September 26, at around 1:11 p.m.On Wednesday, September 27 at around 9:00 a.m., the Dallas FBI Violent Crimes Task Force, in conjunction with the investigation initiated by the Red Oak Police Department and multiple other investigations, arrested Stevie Elbert Jones, 54, who is believed to be the subject that robbed the Prosperity Bank yesterday.Jones was arrested without incident in Fort Worth, Texas on an outstanding parole revocation warrant and is believed to be a suspect in multiple robberies throughout North Texas. Jones was transported to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office for the warrant.Based on the arrest of Jones and the subsequent interview, the Red Oak Police Department has closed its investigation and any charges will be filed at the Federal level by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
