ELLIS COUNTY — Looking for a unique job – try working in the Renaissance at Scarborough Renaissance Festival this Spring! The Job Faire for part time and seasonal positions at Scarborough Renaissance Festival 2016 is scheduled for Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the festival’s main office located at 2511 FM 66 in Waxahachie.The Job Faire and interviews will take place between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm for positions during the eight weekends of the 2016 Scarborough Renaissance Festival which runs Saturdays, Sundays and Memorial Day Monday, April 9 – May 30, 2016 as well as Student Days on Tuesday, April 26, 2016.Scarborough Renaissance Festival is looking for outgoing, energetic people 14 and older to fill the following positions:Food & beverage sales, wait staff, restaurant host/hostess, restaurant/food service managers, alcoholic beverage sales, special event servers, souvenir sales, ticket sales, ticket takers/front entrance greeters, exit gate personnel, safety services, grounds crew, restroom attendants, kitchen help, cooks, dishwashers, exit surveyors, games personnel, and more. Many positions require costuming.Details and applications can be found at SRFestival.com. Applications should be completed prior to attending the Job Faire. Applicants are also asked to bring two forms of identification including a valid Driver’s License, ID or Passport to the Job Faire. Specific work hours will be discussed at orientation on Saturday, April 2, 2016. There will also be a “Costume and dialect” class offered prior to orientation to determine costuming and acclimate employees on the Renaissance terminology used at the Festival.
