LETTER: On Frank Sanchez

To the Editor:

If I had any doubt about who I should vote for in the County Commissioner Pct. 3 race, all doubt has been removed.

On Feb. 20th, I drove all the way to Maypearl, took time out of my day, in order to obtain clarification from Mr. Frank Sanchez on his stance on eminent domain at his so called "open forum," at the Maypearl Hay and Feed.

In his previous response, at the Ellis County Republican Party forum, Mr. Sanchez stated it was ok for a church to seize property under eminent domain. Say what?! All religions and denominations, or was he going to pick and choose? So I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt and opportunity to clarify this response.

The open forum was scheduled to begin at 2pm. Mr. Sanchez CANCELLED this open forum at 2:10pm! I asked if he would please answer my one question, and I was basically blown off, with a wave of his hand, and told, "I'm against eminent domain."

Excuse me! I am a voter, a constituent of Pct. 3, and was totally dismissed by this individual that claims to be so transparent. Yet, Mr. Sanchez wants to make disparaging remarks about his opponent. Completely classless of you Frank Sanchez... my vote will be for Paul D. Perry! Proven leadership that actually respects and listens to his constituents!
