Red Oak man arrested for possession of child porn

Enrique Sosa, 19, was arrested by Red Oak police on February 5, 2016 for possession of child pornography.

RED OAK — On Wednesday, January 27, 2016, the Red Oak Police Department received information from the Dallas Police Department Child Exploitation Unit in reference to information about a citizen of Red Oak in possession of child pornography.

An immediate investigation was initiated and the suspect was subsequently identified as Enrique Sosa, 19. Based on information obtained during the investigation, the Red Oak Police Department Criminal Investigation Division obtained an evidentiary search warrant on Feb. 4.

The Red Oak Police Department Criminal Investigation Division and Patrol Division executed the search warrant the following day in the 400 block of Sunflower Street and seized electronic devices containing child pornography.

During the additional investigation, the Red Oak Police Department Criminal Investigation Division placed Sosa under arrest for possession of child pornography. Sosa was confined in the Red Oak City Jail with a $20,000 bond for the offense.
