Fleeing bank robber detained by two citizens Posted in Headline, Waxahachie on January 10, 2016 by Staff Report Publisher Donavan Eugene Pyle, 50, of Fort Worth was arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery on January 8, 2016 related to an alleged bank robbery in Waxahachie.WAXAHACHIE — Waxahachie Police Department is investigating a bank robbery that occurred on Friday, January 8, at the First Financial Bank on Northgate Drive.The suspect, Donavan Eugene Pyle, 50, of Fort Worth, is alleged to have entered the bank and demanded money from a teller. Upon leaving the bank, money was falling out of his pockets and onto Northgate Street according to witnesses.Pyle was approached by two citizens, Greg Bowden and Thomas Eiland, and questioned where he had obtained the money. One of the citizens noticed what appeared to be a pistol in his pocket. The citizens detained the Pyle until police arrived and took him into custody.Pyle is charged with Aggravated Robbery and remains in custody at the Wayne McCollum Detention Center. His bond was set at $50,000.
