Ellis County Commissioners’ Court to meet on March 9 Posted in Ellis County on March 06, 2015 by Publisher Historic Ellis County CourthouseELLIS COUNTY — The Ellis County Commissioners' Court will meet on March 9 at 10 a.m. in the Historic Ellis County Courthouse located in Waxahachie to discuss and take action on a number of county business items.Specific items of interest the commissioners' court will discuss and take possible action on include:Accept an insurance settlement check in the amount of $3,236.13 for damages sustained to the Ellis County Sheriff's Office estray barn.Purchase a 2012 Ford F250 truck in the amount of $22,995.00 from Comfleet Auto Sales for Road and Bridge Precinct 2.Purchase office furnishings from a participating vendor in approved co-op or Texas State contract for the Courts and Administration Building finish out and Elections Building upon completion.Reject the only bid submitted for the 2013 TxCDBG grant project #713159 for water improvements for South Ellis County Water Supply Corporation from Lyness Construction.Award TxCDBG project 713159, Lee Road plant improvements, to J&K Excavation, LLC.Award TxCDBG project 713159, Lee Road 6" water line, to Circle H Construction, LP.Accept a $15,000 payment for reinforcement of Miller Road Bridge in Precinct 4 from Tarrant Regional Water District.Authorize the County Judge to execute any document necessary to approve the bond or refinance of bonds, with respect to the Tarrant County Cultural Education Facilities Finance Corporation Hospital Revenue Bonds (Baylor Scott & White Health Project) Series 2015. Such approval is not to be construed as any representation or warranty by the County, nor to create any performance obligation on the part of the County.Interlocal Agreement between Ellis County and City of Waxahachie regarding use of gun range.Designate Jodi Platt as interim Purchasing Agent.The commissioners' court may convene into executive session for consultation to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of the Purchasing Agent and Fire Marshal/EMC.The above list is a partial list of items on the agenda.
