The 2014 Lions claimed the Texas 5A Division II state championship.ENNIS — The Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) released its first poll ranking the state's top 10 football teams in each of the four regions for UIL classes 6A through 2A.In the first poll, the pre-season poll, Ennis was voted number one in Class 5A, Region II with Mansfield Timberview and Tyler coming in second and third, respectively.
