WAXAHACHIE — Ellis County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched at 10:30 p.m. Monday, April, 27, to a location at Farm-to-Market 876 and Bell Branch Road in reference to a mother and daughter who were trapped in their car in high water.

Stolen vehicle impounded after 100 mph flee near FM 875

WAXAHACHIE — The Texas Education Agency (TEA) notified Waxahachie Independent School Distict teacher Laura Leigh Evans, certified by the TEA as a secondary English and English Language Arts teacher for grades six through 12, on Feb. 27 that she is under investigation for "inappropriate conduct with a student."
