Red Oak Road will be closed from Hickory Creek Drive to the Red Oak Road overpass beginning on January 23, 2017 and will last for approximately two weeks.RED OAK — The City of Red Oak Public Works Department has authorized the temporary closure of a portion of Red Oak Road beginning Monday, January 23, 2017 to facilitate new utility construction.All westbound traffic on Red Oak Road from Hickory Creek Drive to the Red Oak Road overpass will be closed Monday at 8 a.m. All eastbound traffic from the Red Oak Road overpass to Hickory Creek Drive will be reduced to one lane of traffic.The closure is estimated to be around two weeks and will allow contractors to complete utility construction for the new Woods at Red Oak Subdivision.All westbound traffic on Red Oak Road will be rerouted to Daubitz Lane as depicted in the accompanying photograph.The Red Oak Police Department suggests that if you have to travel in this area during that time frame, to plan accordingly.
