Cedar Hill woman arrested for murdering fiance Posted in Surrounding Areas on December 14, 2015 by Staff Report Carla Rhodes (Moore)CEDAR HILL — A 48-year-old Cedar Hill woman is in custody after she called 911 Sunday morning to report she shot her fiance.Upon arrival to the 400 block of Robin Road, Cedar Hill police officers detained a female at the scene. Officers identified her as Carla Rhodes, 48, who lived at the local with the victim.Officers found a male victim, identified as James Drew, 44, in the residence who appeared to be suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. A handgun was located and recovered at the scene.Rhodes was arrested and charged with murder. She was booked into the Dallas County jail, where she remains, under the name Carla Moore. A $500,000 bond was set.This incident is believed to be the result of a domestic dispute between the two parties and Cedar Hill police have no reason to believe there is any continuing threat to the community.The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office Physical Evidence section assisted the Cedar Hill Police Department with processing the scene.
