Waxahachie PD ended weapons disturbance peacefully Posted in Headline, Waxahachie on December 08, 2015 by Staff Report WAXAHACHIE — Waxahachie Police Department peacefully ended a weapons disturbance Monday, Dec. 7, after officers responded to an intoxicated subject with a rifle on Charlotte Street. Officers were sent to the location after a family member called in afraid for her and her family's safety. The family member reported that the suspect loaded the rifle and was threatening to kill someone.Officers arrived and immediatly set up a perimeter to contain the scene and protect the community. Waxahachie SWAT was called to help with the situation.Roadways into the neighborhood were closed and Charlotte Street was closed while the threat was ongoing. Residents in the area were evacuated for their safety.SWAT approached the location and detained the suspect without incident. The family members inside the residence were also removed without harm.After the subject was cleared medically he was taken for a medical evaluation.
