Nay is excited to announce his intent to run for re-election to the Office of Ellis County Constable Precinct 2.Constable Nay is the longest serving Constable for Ellis County, now completing his 20th year serving as the Constable for Ellis County Precinct 2.He has 24 years combined law enforcement experience. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Law Enforcement and Police Science, 1993, Sam Houston State University. He is a certified TCOLE Police Instructor, and has instructed many Constable and Deputy Constables, Police, Sheriffs and Sheriff’s Deputies and law enforcement cadets throughout the years. Constable Nay has prior experience as an Investigator for The Brazos County Attorney’s Office, and as a Patrol Deputy for Ellis County Sheriff’s Office.Constable Nay has held a Master Texas Peace Officer’s License since September 2002, and has well over 3,000 hours of state law enforcement training. Constable Nay has extensive training in Civil and Criminal Process, Event and Security Planning for Law Enforcement, Emergency Management and Rural Preparedness, Traffic Law Enforcement, Criminal and Drug Interdiction and Investigations, and he is a certified Texas Marine Safety Enforcement Officer.He is a life-long second generation Ellis County resident and has dedicated his career to serving the citizens of Ellis County where he was raised.Constable Nay has been active in many community charities over the years and remains involved in many community events. Nay has 3 children who all attend WISD schools.The Constable looks forward to the opportunity to continue his public service for the citizens of Ellis County.
