The Friends of Maypearl Spring Celebration has been set for Saturday, March 28 with a full day of activities for the entire family including an Easter egg hunt.The day of fun will begin with the Old Maypearl 5K Road Race. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., the one mile fun run begins at 8 a.m. and the 5K run and walk begins at 8:20 a.m. You can register for the 5k online.Following the race, an Easter Egg Hunt for kids up to 12-years-old will begin at 10:30 a.m. The hunt will take place on the field across from Maypearl City Hall and is hosted by The Polka Dotted Lizard and Simply Be.YOU.tiful Salon. Don't forget the Easter baskets.Wild Bill will host a live auction at 11 a.m. Fabulous items, including a Nook and shotgun will be sold to the highest bidders.There will be fun and games for the entire family. Load up the family Saturday morning and enjoy the Easter egg hunt, face painting, cake walk, bounce houses, egg race, dunking booth and many more activities and games. Don't forget to check out the great vendors as well.If that wasn't enough, unique and vintage cars will be on display.Friends of Maypearl is a 501(c)(3) public charity with the mission to strengthen and promote a sense of commitment and service through volunteerism, fundraising and sponsorships which will promote the community and enhance the quality of life of all residents in and around Maypearl.
