MIDLOTHIAN — The Ellis County Sheriff’s Office’s Special Investigations Unit recovered more than $600,000 worth of illegal drugs during the execution of a search warrant last Wednesday at a residence on Ranchland Circle in Midlothian.Discovered during the search were about 13.5 pounds of powdered methamphetamine, about 4 pounds of liquid methamphetamine and about 109 grams of black tar heroin.The estimated street value of the powdered methamphetamine is $602,500, with the estimated street value of the black tar heroin at $10,000. Two people were arrested and taken into custody.
