Armed robbery suspect on the loose; one arrested

ELLIS COUNTY — Thursday evening, August 4, Ellis County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a report of an armed robbery at a residence on Farm-to-Market 876, where two male suspects had fled the scene. One was taken into custody shortly thereafter. The other was spotted Friday morning but managed to elude law enforcement and remains at large.

Taken into custody was Jack Flanery, 47, of Waxahachie, who was booked into Wayne McCollum Detention Center on charges of aggravated robbery, deadly conduct and parole violation. Bond was set at $1 million for the aggravated robbery and $30,000 for the deadly conduct. There is no bond on the parole violation.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Royce "Bubba" Lee Ostrander, 31, on a charge of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. Ostrander is a white male, approximately 6-foot tall and weighing 170 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. His right arm is sleeved with tattoos.
