Red Oak police investigating shooting on Falls Court

RED OAK — On Wednesday, February 24, at approximately 11:53 p.m., dispatchers from the Northern Ellis Emergency Dispatch Center received a multitude of calls in reference to gunshots.

Officers from the Red Oak Police Department were dispatched at approximately 11:57 p.m. to the 100 block of Falls Court on a report of gunshots and arrived on scene at approximately 11:59 p.m. Upon arrival, officers determined that a vehicle and a single-family residence, occupied by several people, to include young children, were targeted and struck with bullets. Fortunately, no one was injured and a large number of shell casings from multiple caliber weapons were recovered in and along the roadway directly in front of the residence.

Witnesses on the scene were unable to provide a description of the number of suspects involved or a vehicle description at this time. The investigation is ongoing and investigators are actively investigating the offense.
