Red Oak PD arrest man after short foot pursuit

Junior Aguilar was arrested by Red Oak PD on Sunday, November 1, 2015 following a short foot pursuit after he bailed out of a moving vehicle leaving a female passenger and two-year-old girl in the moving vehicle without a driver.

RED OAK — On Sunday, November 1, at approximately 1:47 p.m., Officer Palmer activated his emergency lights on his patrol vehicle to stop the driver of a white Lincoln Towncar for a traffic offense.

The driver bailed from the vehicle, leaving a female passenger and her two-year-old daughter in a moving vehicle without a driver.

Officer Palmer bailed out of his patrol vehicle and chased the suspect on foot. A resident in the 300 block of Carson pointed out to Officer Palmer the location where the driver was hiding.

Junior Aguilar, 20, was found hiding in the bed of a pickup truck and was taken into custody without incident with the assistance of Officer Dansby.

Another Red Oak PD unit secured the suspect's vehicle and indicated both subjects remaining in the abandoned vehicle in motion were found unharmed.

Aguilar was transported to the Red Oak City Jail and booked on evading arrest/detention on foot and endangering a child charges.
