RED OAK — A high-speed chase from Red Oak to Waxahachie ended safely Wednesday evening after the suspects wrecked in front of Landmark Equipment on Business 287.

According to Red Oak Chief of Police Garland Wolf, an officer witnessed a vehicle failing to vacate the passing lane on I-35 with defective equipment and an obstructed paper license plate that could not be read in an area where the department receives numerous complaints of reckless driving. Additionally, Wolf stated the truck changed lanes abruptly, crossing two lanes of traffic without signaling resulting in danger to other motorists.
