Red Oak PD makes arrest in stolen vehicle cases

Red Oak Police arrested Jackie Wade Deason, 35, on June 18 on one outstanding warrant and additionally charged him with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, unauthorized use of a vehicle, theft over $20,000 but under $100,000 and theft over $1,500 but under $20,000.

RED OAK — The Red Oak Police Department arrested Jackie Wade Deason, 35, on Thursday, June 18, on one outstanding warrant and additionally charged him with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, unauthorized use of a vehicle, theft over $20,000 but under $100,000 and theft over $1,500 but under $20,000.

"At approximately 3 p.m., Officer McIntosh #299 of the Red Oak Police Department observed a white single cab, Ford F250 with paper tag (57B8978) containing Jackie Deason," Red Oak Police Chief Garland Wolf stated in a press release.

"Deason and a female passenger exited the vehicle and went into the Knox gas station. Officer McIntosh confronted Deason, 35, about the warrant. Deason was arrested on the outstanding warrant through the City of Red Oak. Several items of stolen property were recovered from the vehicle."

Red Oak PD stated the arrest cleared two stolen vehicle offenses, two burglary of vehicle offenses and assisted outside agencies with clearing additional cases.

"We anticipate additional offenses being cleared due to this arrest of Deason," Wolf said.
