NWS confirms EF0 tornado in Waxahachie Tuesday

WAXAHACHIE — The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has confirmed an EF0 tornado hit Waxahachie Tuesday afternoon.

Ellis County resident Michael Rich was providing an estimate to a resident on Omaha Court in Waxahachie for a seamless gutter when the tornado hit.

"I was doing a seamless gutter bid at this house when it hit," Rich said in a statement.

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth stated Wednesday evening, "Ten confirmed tornadoes so far from yesterday's storms. One in Ellis County, Three in Palo Pinto County, Two in Jack County, and Four in Wise County."

Balsora, Decatur and Mineral Wells experienced EF1 tornadoes with a second EF0 hitting Mineral Wells. Jacksboro, Palo Pinto, Vineyard and Waxahachie experienced EF0 tornadoes with Runaway Bay getting hit by two.

According to the National Weather Service, the potential for severe weather in North Texas exists at least through Sunday.
