RED OAK — The Girls Powerlifting Team had a great performance at the Region 3 Powerlifting Meet on March 2. The team finished in second place with 21 points. Several student-athletes qualified for the State Powerlifting Meet in Corpus Christi that will be held on March 19 and 20.

Individual results are as follows:

Shannon Halbert – 1st Place –State Qualifier

Haley Lord – 2nd Place –State Qualifier

Michaela Braly – 2nd Place –State Qualifier

Lauren Konrardy – 4th Place

Juana Escareno – 4th Place

Brooke Coy – 12th Place

Girls powerlifting coach Bryce Haugh said, "These girls did a tremendous job competing and representing Red Oak High School. I am proud of the girls for their dedication and work ethic throughout the season. It has been an honor to get to coach this group of girls and I am looking forward to seeing Shannon, Haley, and Michaela compete at the state meet."
