Great Texas Warrant Roundup begins March 7

Representatives of law enforcement agencies and courts from more than 300 jurisdictions across Texas announced combined efforts to host the 2015 Great Texas Warrant Roundup beginning Saturday, March 7.

The roundup is designed to target thousands of defenders with traffic, parking, city ordinance, penal code and higher charge warrants from participating jurisdictions. It is believed to be the largest joint operation of its kind with arrests expected to continue for several days. Numerous counties, justice of the peace, constables and municipalities of all sizes will participate in the roundup.

Over 300 agencies participated in the 2014 Great Texas Warrant Roundup and cleared over 133,000 warrants in a three week period.

If you think you have a warrant, now is the time to act before the warrant roundup begins. If warrants are not taken care of, police officers may come to your home or work to serve the warrants.

As of Feb. 20, participating agencies in Ellis County include:

Ferris Municipal Court
Glenn Heights Municipal Court
Italy Municipal Court
Milford Municipal Court
Red Oak Municipal Court
Waxahachie Municipal Court

More agencies may have signed up to participate since the Feb. 20 official update and more agencies may sign up to participate prior to the March 7 launch.
